Lady Gaga debuted the stunning cover art for her new album Born This Way at 1 am EST April 16.
It shows her head and arms morphed into a powerful motorcycle as head lamp and front shock absorbers respectively. Red lip color on an otherwise monochromatic image, and bared teeth make for a fierce look.
An hour before posting the image on Twitter, the 25-year-old singer alerted her fans with the tweet:
"Attention Little Monsters BIG NEWS; I will unveil the Born This Way album cover at 1am EST tonight. PUT YOUR PAWS UP! #BTWcover."
She kept her promise and was back with the image on time:
"COVER BY NICK KNIGHT AND THE HAUS OF GAGA 5 † 23 † 11 http://twitpic.com/4lelv6" Gaga tweeted.
The album will be in stores May 23, as indicated on the artwork.
Earlier in the day, Lady Gaga released her second single "Judas" on iTunes.
"NEW SINGLE JUDAS! GET IT HERE: http://tw.itunes.com/RgV. Monsters, thank you for inspiring me to write this song. Blood, Sweat + Jüdas." Gaga tweeted this afternoon.
