Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to four months jail by a LA judge on Friday, April 22 for having violated the terms of her probation in a 2007 DUI case by stealing a necklace worth $2,500.
Additionally, she was sentenced to 480 hours of community service.
The troubled star has been allowed to post bail of $75,000 and appeal against the sentence; she is currently being processed at the Lynwood Correctional Facility and is likely to be released Friday night.
This is the fourth time Lindsay has been ordered to jail.
The day started well for Lindsay when Judge Stephanie Sautner reduced the felony grand theft charge against her to a misdemeanor based on the value of the item stolen and Lindsay's record.
The judge, however, overturned an appeal for dismissal of the case by Lindsay's lawyer Shawn Holley.
Lindsay's trial for theft will start May 11.
