Jude Law, Uma Thurman In Cannes Jury

Hollywood stars Jude Law and Uma Thurman will join French helmer Olivier Assayas on the Cannes Film Festival competition jury, headed by Robert De Niro, the festival announced today.

Both the stars have won Cannes’ top prize, Palm d’Or. The other names in the nine-member jury include Argentine producer-turned-actress Martina Gusman, Chinese producer Nansun Shi, Norwegian critic Linn Ullmann, Chad helmer Mahamat-Saleh Haroun and Chinese filmmaker Johnny To.

But India remains unrepresented on the jury as it does in the Festival’s official lineup.

Sharmila Tagore and Shekhar Kapoor served on the jury in the past two-years.

The jury will award seven prizes during the closing ceremony of the fest, which runs May 11-22.
