Tennessee Fan Suffers Heart Attack At Lady Gaga Concert

We knew some of Lady Gaga’s outfits were jaw-dropping, but now the outre pop star is single-handedly responsible for taking one Tennessee woman’s breath away. Crystal Thornton is in stable condition at a Nashville hospital after she suffered a heart attack while attending a Lady Gaga concert last week.

Thornton suffered the attack shortly after Mother Monster hit the stage at Bridgestone Arena for the latest stop on her Monster Ball Tour last Wednesday night. By the time EMTs arrived on the scene, Crystal had lost consciousness and had stopped breathing. Paramedics spent over five minutes attempting to resuscitate the fan before her tickered kicked up again.

”We were just laughing, cutting up like we always do. Then, her body was twitching, she stopped breathing, her eyes were in the back of her head, I grabbed her face, screaming out to her, trying to get her awake,” says Crystal’s friend Christina Tugman, who was with her during that fateful show. “I was asking if she was okay, and she wasn’t responding.”

Thornton was airlifted to the emergency room, where doctors used therapeutic hypothermia to cool her body temperature to between 93 and 86 degrees, below the normal body temperature of 98.6 degrees.

“Even though her heart was working again, doctors wanted to slow circulation in order to prevent the death of brain cells — and, therefore, brain damage — caused by prolonged lack of oxygen. Chilled water blankets were placed over Thornton’s body and head, and medical personnel then used a machine to lower her body temperature for 48 hours,” according to CNN.

Dr. Jared McKinney, medical director of LifeFlight Event Medicine, credits quick thinking by those first responders with saving the patient’s life: “The patient received incredible care from the moment she experienced problems at the Bridgestone Arena. It is only through a coordinated team effort that her successful outcome was possible.”

Her cardiologist says the 33-year-old appears to have an enlarged heart, but after being stricken by a seizure on Thursday, Thornton is undergoing tests at Vanderbilt Medical Center to pinpoint the exact cause of her recent health woes.

Lindsay Lohan sentenced to 120 days in jail

Troubled star Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been jailed for four-months in the 2,500 dollars necklace theft case.

The 'Mean Girls' star however scored a legal victory when her felony grand theft charge was reduced to a misdemeanour.

However in less than an hour after downgrading the offence, Judge Stephanie Sautner threw the book at the actress and sentenced her to a four-month jail term, reports the Daily Mail.

The decision came after the Judge had heard testimonies against her in the necklace theft case and declared that there was sufficient evidence that she had violated her probation, which stems from a 2007 DUI.

Lohan's lawyer filed an immediate appeal and Lohan's camp scrambled to post $75,000 bail and secure her release from custody pending an appeal hearing. The 24-year-old showed little reaction when she was handed down the ruling and was swiftly led away from court by bailiffs.

The judge also ordered Lohan to serve more than 480 hours of community service at a women's centre and the Los Angeles County Morgue.

Heidi Montag Joins Reality Show Famous Food

Reality star Heidi Montag has said she is joining new series Famous Food, where seven celebrities will get a shot at opening their own restaurant.

The 10-episode series will air in the fall and focus on the celebrities attempting to open a West Hollywood eatery, said The Hollywood Reporter.

Montag told talk show host Ryan Seacrest that the program will be “about several celebrities coming together and building a restaurant, and working in it, and kind of figuring out the ins and outs of the restaurant business, and how to be successful in it.”

Other celebrities slated to star in the show include Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member Danielle Staub, former Bachelor Jake Pavelka, Three 6 Mafia members DJ Paul and Juicy “J”, former call girl Ashley Dupre and Sopranos actor Vincent Pastore.

Mischa Barton Ordered To Pay USD 95,000 In Nursing Bills

Hollywood starlet Mischa Barton has received a very unwelcome Easter gift, a bill of USD 95,000 bill from a private nursing company.

The OC actress who has been out of work for the past year, has been ordered to pay the private nursing company for services rendered back in 2009, reported TMZ.

The website reports that the 25-year-old star ran up the whopping bill with Doctor’s Choice Nursing but the money was never paid.

After suing for the payment plus interest, a judge signed off on a default judgement in favour of DCN, as Barton did not show up in court.

However, a representative for the actress denied the authenticity of the claim, saying “This is the first we’ve heard of it.”

Barton was charged with drink-driving and possession of marijuana in 2007 and in 2009 was put under a psychiatric hold, over what she claimed was a tooth infection that spiralled out of control.

She was forcibly held at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre for two weeks and sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

Prince William, Kate Middleton: An Australian Honeymoon Confirmed

With their wedding just five days away, Prince William and Kate Middleton are probably busy making sure every detail is taken care of.

Among those top-secret details could very well be diving equipment and swimsuits. The royal pair might be celebrating their honeymoon on Lizard Island, according to The Sunday Mirror. The island is one of many lining the Great Barrier Reef just off the Australian coastline near Queensland.

The Mirror informs the island is "tipped as the most likely destination." It can only be reached by a sixty-minute plane journey from Cairns. This oasis of sun and sand is not an improbable choice for the prince and his future bride.

Prince William, on a tour of cyclone affected areas of Australia, promised to return to the country within weeks with fiancée Kate Middleton, possibly for their honeymoon.

While speaking to well-wishers in Cairns the Prince said he would like to return to city to scuba dive on the Great Barrier Reef.

"I love scuba diving, I have always wanted to dive the barrier reef," he said.

Later, Kate, 29, prompted rumors about her honeymoon after the brunette paid a visit to British chain Warehouse in the capital, accompanied by three bodyguards and snagging clothing suited for warmer climates totaling $350.

It was reported the couple maybe headed to Jordan. Kate lived in the country as a child for some time with her family. It was speculated that the Wadi Run valley and Petra are among the places on the Royal couple's itinerary.

With Corfu, Greece; Seychelles in the Indian Ocean, Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands, and Jordan, Kate's childhood residence; as possible choices, aides at the palace have still not given official confirmation as to where the two will head for their honeymoon.

The star’s two oldest kids, Lexi, 21, and Troy, 19, became ordained ministers online so they could marry their mother and new step-father. Gibbons’ son Nathan, 13, stood in as ring bearer.
