Salman Khan Refuses to Even Touch Sonakshi Sinha in 'Kick'

Salman Khan, 45, who has shunned lip locks in his past films, now refuses to even touch Sonakshi Sinha, 23, on screen in Kick.

Kick is a Hindi remake of the similarly named Telugu blockbuster headlining Ravi Teja and Lleana D'Cruz. The original film featured a lot of intimacy between the headlining stars.

According to the Mumbai Mirror, Salman has told Kick producer Sajid Nadiadwala that intimate scenes, involving touching and beyond, needs to be scripted out from the film.

Explaining Salman's rationale for the change, a source tells the Mumbai Mirror.

"Salman has always been very careful as far as romantic scenes are concerned. But with Sonakshi he has to be doubly careful. He treats her like a child. There was almost no physical intimacy at all between him and Sonakshi in Dabangg."

Kick producer Sajid Nadiadwala has confirmed that the script is being tweaked in deference to Salman's wishes.

"We are retaining the basic idea of a guy who does everything that gives him a kick. But a lot of the sections are being re-written. With Sonakshi, Salman's equation would be very restrained. This time it would be more so. Beyond that I can't give any more details."

Salman has starred in over 80 films in a career spanning more than 20 years. He has been a part of countless hits, super hits and even blockbuster successes, the very recent one being Dabangg, but has steadfastly shunned onscreen intimacy.

In today's day and time, when intimate scenes in films are considered a necessity to attract viewers, Salman refuses to go down that road and still come out a winner at the box office.

Interestingly, Salman's contemporaries like Shah Rukh Khan, Amir Khan and Akshay Kumar have never shied away from intimate scenes, even as Salman has managed to be counted amidst them without ever resorting to them.

It was earlier reported that during the shooting of Ready, Salman had similarly told Anees Bazmee that he would not be doing the lovemaking scene with co-star Asin.
